The age limit for the APSC CCE 2023 is 21–38 years as of January 1, 2023.

• Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Age: The candidate should not be less than 21 years old or more than 38 years old on January 1, 2023 ( The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognised board or council, and no other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.)
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed to be universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess such qualifications as may be declared equivalent by the government.
• A candidate should be able to speak Assamese or another official language or associate official languages of the state or any of the tribal languages of the state.
• A candidate should be registered with the District Employment Office of Assam.
• A candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
• Candidates must possess the above-prescribed qualifications on the date of submission of their applications.

The Combined Competitive Examination consists of two consecutive stages:

• The Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
• The Main Examination (Written and Interview)

Preliminary examination

The preliminary examination will be divided into two separate 2-hour papers with objective-type multiple-choice questions.

• This paper is of a qualifying nature.
• There will be negative marking for incorrect answers, as detailed below:
  • (i) There are four alternatives for the answers to every question. One-fourth of the total mark assigned to one question will be deducted for the wrong answer marked by the candidate.
  • (ii) If a candidate marks more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct.
• Paper II of the C.C. (Prelim) Examination is a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

MAIN examination

The main examination consists of two stages

• Written examination and
• Interview or personality test.

Interview

Candidates will be invited for interviews in a ratio of 1:3 to the number of openings announced based on the results of the written portion of the Main Examination.

  • Complete the profile creation process by providing all relevant details and supporting documents.

• Apply for CCE:
  • After profile creation, click on the “Applicant Section => Apply Section” link in the Dashboard.

• Review the eligibility criteria:
  • Read all eligibility criteria and relevant details carefully before proceeding.

• Fill out the online application form:
  • Mandatory fields in the online form are marked with an asterisk (*).
  • Upload supporting documents in PDF format (not exceeding 2 MB, legible).
  • Documents may include Date of Birth, Experience, Qualifications, etc.

• Preview and Declaration:
  • Carefully fill in all required information in the application form.
  • Click on the declaration checkbox to enable the ‘Preview’ button before final submission.

• Submit or make corrections:
  • After previewing, click ‘Submit’ for final submission.
  • If corrections are necessary, click ‘Cancel’ for adjustments before final submission.

• Pay the application and processing fee:
  • On form submission, pay the application fee along with the applicable processing fee.

• Confirmation of Submission:
  • Upon successful submission and payment, an auto-generated email and SMS will be sent to the registered email and phone number.

• Verify payment status:
  • If the payment status is pending, click on the ‘Validate Payment’ button after 15–30 minutes to confirm the payment status.
